In a world and society where people are dynamic and different, I challenge the notion that everyone is the same and belongs in a 'box.'

“In a world and society where people are dynamic and different, I challenge the notion that everyone is the same and belongs in a ‘box’ receiving cookie-cutter financial solutions. I am someone who values others and respects their perspectives and invests in people. My skills best align with ultra-high-net-worth, high-net-worth investors, and institutions. My goal for the firm is to ensure that we take every opportunity to meet the expectations of those who hire us and to present an objective perspective of situations to ensure that people aren’t misled and transparency exists,” he says.

Scott has extensive experience with healthcare professionals, business owners, endowment funds, and estates. His goal is to maximize opportunities that meet client expectations. “’You are important’ isn’t some kind of tagline for us,” Scott says, “It’s how we approach everything.” He enjoys the complexities involved in working with institutions and people with high net worth.

“I lead a highly experienced team to work with you, develop strategies, and recommend tailored solutions designed to help you accumulate, protect, and transfer your wealth if you are an individual or estate. Our goal with institutions is to evaluate and implement strategies consistent with investment objectives. The approach is flexible and accommodates unique situations without the use of ‘model/box portfolios’ like many firms provide,” he says.

Scott’s diverse educational and career background has honed his approach and his given him a well-rounded viewpoint. Having experience in multiple arenas allows him to connect with and relate to many different kinds of clients with varying lifestyles.

After graduating from high school, Scott served in the U.S. Navy, where he received two meritorious promotions and multiple medals. By the time he left the Navy, he was a petty officer 2nd class and chief of emergency medicine at Pearl Harbor Naval Medical Clinic, responsible for supervising 65 EMTs and paramedics. After leaving the military, he worked as an engineer briefly before becoming a high school science teacher.

It was when he began working for Edward Jones that he found his passion for helping others achieve their financial goals, leveraging his skills in math, science and analysis on behalf of individuals, families, business owners and institutions. He won 11 different awards and worked his way up the ladder before leaving to become an independent financial advisor in 2015.

A lifelong learner, Scott studied at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Moberly Community College, receiving an Associate of Science degree in chemistry. He achieved his Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Central Methodist University. Later, he pursued a Master’s of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, studying curriculum design. He also studied graduate-level finance at Colorado Technical University.

A devoted family man, Scott believes in giving back to the community. He is involved with numerous charities, including golf tournaments and other fund raisers in Missouri and Arizona.
